August 2025

There are several articles that will keep you an informed parent in the AAP NEWS. from July 2025:

#1 O’Hare K., et al, page 2 writes STIMULANT MEDICATIONS FOR ADHD DO NOT CAUSE PSYCHOTIC EXPERIENCES.

Many governmental pseudo experts have been stating how medications are given too frequently and psychotic events may be associated. This is not the case in the treated ADHD medications. Not only per Dr. O’Hare but my own clinical experience attests to that.

I must emphasize that the physician must be sure of the ADHD diagnosis before prescribing stimulant medication.

#2 THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN HOSPITALIZED WITH RSV, FLU, COVID IN 2024-‘25 AAP Research, page 12.

Once again governmental pseudo experts are questioning the use of vaccines. This article shows RSV, Flu and COVID are still significant problems in the pediatric age group. Here are current stats that will show the need for vaccines:

From Nov. 3, 2024 – May 10, 2025 The number of hospital admissions for respiratory disease was:

COVID-19 – 11,199

Influenza – 45,756

RSV – 70,939

One can only imagine how those numbers would increase if there were no vaccines. As informed parents do not get caught in the anti-vax rhetorics.

#3 AAP REITERATES SUPPORT FOR FLUORIDE AS FDA PLANS TO PULL SOME SUPPLEMENTS FROM THE MARKET.

Melissa Jenco clearly rebuts the claim that fluoride is no longer needed to prevent dental cavities. The American Academy of Pediatrics supports the use of fluoride to prevent cavities. The author and the AAP clearly stated the following:

“With an abrupt departure from water fluoridation, our nation would undoubtedly experience a rapidly rising incidence of decay,” they wrote. “The U.S. does not have capacity in the oral health workforce to support the emergency, surgical, and restorative dental needs that would result. There would be increased pain and suffering, and more missed school and work. None of this is necessary.”

The bottom line of the three articles is, pseudo experts can state opinions but frequently they are just that, opinions, not based on peer reviewed research.
